Bringing in under consideration of a helicopter landing pad
At the end of the year, we replaced a 40kVA BSV system including a new stationary lead-acid battery in a hospital in northern Germany.
The challenge for our project manager was the installation and removal of the switch cabinets and batteries via the roof of the building, which also has a helipad. Not only did the backup power supply have to be ensured for the duration of the conversion, but road closures and the air traffic of the rescue helicopter also had to be taken into account. In this case, we used a heavy-duty crane with a fly jib (hydraulic extension on the crane boom) so that the installation could be carried out almost horizontally at height.
After installation, the BSV is commissioned and the customer is given instructions.
