Since 1993, PERMALUX has stood for comprehensive safety solutions and reliability.
Our mission to develop and optimise these solutions has made us a preferred partner for demanding customers.
We understand safety holistically and therefore offer full-service, which includes consulting, high-quality products, and maintenance.
Our team of 70 dedicated professionals is committed to the development and production of safety and emergency technologies.
This interdisciplinary collaboration within our company culture enables us to offer customised safety and emergency systems tailored to the specific needs of our customers.
1993
Foundation of the company in Barsbüttel by Gunnar and Esther Krokeide
1995
Start of a long-term partnership with Lufthansa Technik AG supplying photoluminescent escape route systems for aircraft cabins
1997
Development of the first photoluminescent low location lighting system for passenger shipping
1998
First installation of a photoluminescent low location lighting system on a cruise ship
2004
Introduction of Guideline® Colour Fit coloured photoluminescent guidance system for aviation
2011
Launch of the emergency power sector with emergency lighting, UPS systems, backup power systems and service & maintenance
2013
Relocation to the new offices at "Am Hopfenbach 3" in Ahrensburg

Further development and certification of the Low Location Lighting Guideline® Maritime Systems

Our company is certified according to ISO 9001 and EN 9100, meeting not only general quality requirements but also the specific needs of products used in sensitive areas such as aviation, aerospace, maritime, and defence.
As an EN 9100-certified manufacturer, P.E.R. Flucht- und Rettungsleitsysteme GmbH is registered in the OASIS database.
Our products are MED certified for the maritime sector and have a Quality Assurance System certificate from BG Verkehr/Schiffssicherheit, ensuring their approval for use on ships of EU member states and countries applying the current Marine Equipment Directive. We are also certified to measure the luminance of Low Location Lighting systems on board.
